A lot of things have happened in my book Catching Fire. These are some of the things that have happened
A few days before the victory tour, President Snow appears at Katniss’s house and they have a conversation about the berries and how she must make he love for Peeta more convincing to the audience he threatens her and her family. He then leaves. Starting their victory tour Katniss and Peeta have to act as if they are madly in love again like in the Hunger games last year. In district 11 Peeta says the speech that he wrote . Then they start to leave until Katniss starts speaking about Thresh and Rue. When she finishes a man puts up the 3 finger symbol and whistles Rue’s three note song, everyone puts up the three finger sign. All of a sudden peacekeepers walk up to the man and shoot him in the head. Katniss and Peeta stick to the script in all the districts after that. Peeta “proposes”to Katniss on Caesar Flickerman’s show. Although it is not true love they have to act as if it is. When going to show her friend Madge her dress Katniss sees something ‘interesting in Madge’s dad’s office. Madge’s father is the mayor of district 12, and on the screen Kaniss sees an update on district 8, commotion and chaos, an uprising. Katniss starts making plans to go out of the district to escape and go live in the wild she first tells gale who thinks that it is a great idea until he thinks about all the families that will be left behind. Peeta says yes. It now appears that there is a new head peacekeeper in town because when gale brings a wild turkey to the old head peacekeepers house who would gladly buy it and pay a good price, an unfamiliar face stops him and with poaching from the woods being illegal, he gives Gale a whipping. Finding this out, Katniss goes to save gale, trying to create a shield for him, she gets a whip in the face and then Haymitch and Peeta appear. Gale gets healed by Katniss’ mother. Katniss tries to stay out of the woods but can’t so she sneaks into the woods and finds two people dressed in peacekeeper outfits. It turns out that they are runaways district 8 since the uprising it has been terrible there they said. Katniss gets some information about district 8 and they think that District 13 still actually has some life there because there is the same mocking-jay in every video that they show of the district so what if there is something that the capitol is hiding? Katniss sends them off with some food and then when she is heading to go back into the district she sees that they have activated the electric fence. and she has to jump over it from a very tall tree to get back. She breaks her foot and injures her spinal cord. Her mother heals it but she has to stay in bed for a long time. At her wedding photo-shoot then, she then discovers from her stylists that the district are starting to rebel and make less products. Katniss then starts to wonder if this is the start of a rebellion.
